URGENT/TIME BOUND

The University has advertised for teaching posts vide advertisement dated 28.4.2011. This advertisement specifies the API/WPI etc. as per the U.G.C. guidelines, however, the format for API/WPI and its calculation is not given anywhere. The downloadable application form is the old one with no provision for the new indexes. Other universities which have adopted UGC pay scales have modified their application forms and devised the formula for calculation of scores. AMU has not yet done anything of similar nature, many people from outside AMU as well as internal candidates have written letters and have phoned seeking clarification for calculation of their scores.
It is, therefore, requested that the University should either clarify the formula for the scores and modify the application form or announce that the application may be submitted without calculating the new scores.
The last date for submission of application forms is 28th May, 2011, therefore, urgent action is required to avoid any unnecessary complication.
