Dear Sir,
The Action Committee of AMUTA directed to communicate to you the following:
  1. In case the students are not allowed to enter their hostels by May 9, 2011, the teachers shall be constrained to follow the resolution of General Body of May 5, 2011, and shall not participate in the admission tests and examinations. To display our resolve, the AMUTA Action Committee and other members shall visit different departments to mobilize faculty opinion, starting from tomorrow 10.00 A.M.
  2. As a follow up of the demand of the General Body held on May 1, 2011, it was decided to press for the removal of the Proctor within 48 hours for his utter failure and role in the present crises. In case this demand is not met, the teachers shall be forced to march to the VC’s Office at 11.00 A.M. on May 11, 2011, when you are requested to meet us.
  3. The ADM City and S P City came to the Staff Club, where the S P City clarified that the statement purported to have been issued by him in a section of the English media has been misreported.  He further, clarified, that he had not issued any such statement, however, if sentiments of anyone have been hurt, he offers his sincere apologies. The copy of a letter, denying the said statement, sent to the Chief Editor, The Pioneer, New Delhi, was also handed over to AMUTA.
During discussions, the District officials also told AMUTA that they know what is happening in the University and how the Vice Chancellor can set it right, so that the university functions normally.
            We await your response.

            With regards,

Sincerely yours,

(S. Mustafa Zaidi)
